The crew of the newest corvette “Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) conducted a comprehensive exercise with the performance of tasks as intended by a single ship at sea.
The elements of combat training by the corvette personnel took place in the water area of the Peter the Great Gulf.
During the event, the corvette worked out preparations for battle and a campaign, went out to sea and made a transition to a maritime training ground.
When crossing an area with a mine threat, the artillery crews of the corvette destroyed mock-ups of floating mines with the AK-630 anti-aircraft artillery system, and also repelled the air attack means of a simulated enemy using electronic warfare.
As part of the exercise, the combat crews of the ship discovered a simulated enemy surface ship, the role of which was imitated by a sea target shield and destroyed it using the AU A-190 artillery installation.
In the course of a special exercise, the crew of the Ka-27 deck helicopter of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation practiced taking off and landing on the deck of a battleship on the move to train the coherence of the aircraft controllers and check the performance of the corvette’s aviation complex.
The corvette “Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” – the third in a series of multipurpose patrol ships (corvettes) of project 20380, built at the Amur shipyard especially for the Pacific Fleet, was laid down in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on July 22, 2015. The project 20380 corvette is designed for operations in the near sea zone and for fighting enemy surface ships and submarines, as well as for artillery support of amphibious assault forces during amphibious operations. The project implements the latest solutions to reduce the physical fields of the ship, it was possible to significantly reduce the radar signature of corvettes through the use of innovative materials and the architectural layout of the hull and superstructure.
Entered the Pacific Fleet in December 2020.
