The route will be about 200 meters long and will consist of three bends and four straight sections.

At the BMX-velodrome, which is being built for the sports school of the Olympic reserve “Nagornaya”, in early November they will finish equipping the track with obstacles. It is planned to complete work at the facility this year.

“At the moment, the crushed stone base is being dumped, the top of it will be covered with tennisite – this is the final stage of the construction of the track. A fence with special mats was installed along the outer contour of the bends, which will ensure the safety of athletes, ”said the head

Moscow Construction Department Rafik Zagrutdinov

In addition, the builders have already installed 14-meter masts to illuminate the track and have connected floodlights. The building of the administrative building is 90 percent complete. The area around the velodrome is being improved: 11 trees and 29 shrubs will be planted on it.

Work is underway on a plot of 0.62 hectares. There, the building and the starting mountain are being reconstructed, a security post and a new track for BMX racing with a length of about 200 meters are being equipped. It will have three bends with retaining walls up to three meters high, which will be covered with asphalt concrete. And four straight sections with obstacles for athletes of different levels of training will be laid out with tennis (brick chips).
