At the Tesnitskoye training ground in the Tula Region, a tactical exercise with the paratrooper battalion of the Dmitry Donskoy Guards Airborne Regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Formation has been completed. The exercise took place as part of the final audit for 2021.

During the final stage of the exercise, after capturing the positions of the mock enemy and destroying its communications center, the parachute battalion reached the specified line and went on the defensive to hold it until the main forces of the regiment approached.

Using the tactics of modern combined arms combat, the attached 82-mm mortar battery inflicted fire damage on the advancing enemy columns, thereby forcing them to turn into battle formations.

Then, with concentrated fire from the standard armament of BMD-2K-AU airborne combat vehicles, large-caliber machine guns, sniper weapons, small arms and grenade launchers, the battalion’s subunits destroyed the advancing conditional enemy, who went on the attack.

Attached to an anti-aircraft artillery platoon, with fire from ZU-23 anti-aircraft installations at individual low-flying targets that imitated unmanned aerial vehicles, did not allow the air attack means of the simulated enemy to inflict fire damage on the defending subunits.

The objectives of the exercise were achieved, the task was completed.

In total, more than 500 servicemen and about 40 units of military and special equipment of the Guards Parachute Regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Force were involved in the exercise.
