In Novorossiysk, cadets of the State Maritime University (GMU) named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov underwent training on ships and auxiliary vessels of the Novorossiysk Naval Base (NVMB) of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet).

During the training period, the cadets received skills in fighting for the survivability of the ship in the course of eliminating a simulated fire and preventing the flow of seawater, worked out the algorithm of actions during mooring and towing operations.

At the end of the training, each student passed tests on the studied topic.

At the beginning of 2021, about 100 cadets underwent maritime practice at the NVMB under the guidance of experienced military mentors from the crews of rescue and hydrographic vessels, as well as support vessels.

All training activities were carried out in compliance with measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
