A solemn event dedicated to the 51st release of lieutenants was held at the branch of the N.E. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin Air Force Academy in Syzran.

The event was attended by veterans, the staff of the branch, representatives of the army aviation of the Central Military District, the head of the Syzran city district.

The ceremony began with the introduction of the flag group of the State Flag of the Russian Federation and the Battle Banner of the Syzran branch of the VUNC Air Force.

In a solemn atmosphere, the head of the branch, Honored Military Pilot of the Russian Federation, Major General Alexander Asanov, the head of the Syzran city district Anatoly Lukienko and the head of the Syzran Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots from 2004 to 2009, Honored Military Pilot of the Russian Federation Major General Viktor Ukolov presented diplomas 13 graduates with honors in 2021.

The heads of departments and teachers of the branch were honored with the presentation of diplomas to the rest of the 2021 graduates who graduated from the university with dignity.

After the presentation of diplomas, the head of the branch, Major General Alexander Asanov, congratulated the personnel on the graduation of the branch and the assignment of new military ranks. Also warm words and wishes for a clear sky overhead were spoken by the head of the Army Aviation of the 14th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Central Military District, holder of the Order of Courage, Colonel Vyacheslav Dmitriyuk.

The long-standing tradition of the branch is the transfer by the graduates, on the day of the graduation, of the “Key to the Sky” to the first-year cadets, thereby the graduates pass on the baton of preserving the traditions of the military glory of the branch. This honor was given to 2021 graduate Lieutenant Vladislav Gnezdilov and first-year recruitment cadet 2021 Private Kirill Dushkin.

The most dramatic moment of the event was the farewell to the Battle Banner of the branch. All the graduates, kneeling down, said goodbye to the Banner, overshadowing their last day within the walls of the branch with the jingle of coins.

The graduates were congratulated by the amateur talent groups of the branch, and the lieutenants danced their first officer’s waltz.

The solemn event ended with a solemn march of graduates to the sound of the march “Farewell of a Slav.”
