The main goal of the measures taken was to increase combat readiness and assess the effectiveness of the actions of naval aviation crews when performing tasks as intended.

The crews of the Ka-27 shipborne helicopters in anti-submarine and search and rescue versions have worked out the coordination of actions as part of pairs in various weather conditions. The anti-submarine men completed the tasks of finding, detecting, tracking and destroying the submarines of the imaginary enemy. Rescuers conducted training on the ground and above the sea surface to rescue people in distress, and also ensured the landing of specialists of the rescue paratrooper groups of the naval aviation of the fleet.

In the course of practicing practical actions, the crew commanders interacted with the flight control group of the aviation formation when aiming helicopters at objects in distress at sea and imaginary enemy submarines.

In total, up to ten crews of Ka-27PL and Ka-27PS helicopters were involved in the exercise.
