In total, on November 14, at 55 sites of units directly subordinate to the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, in the places of their deployment, including in the units of the Navy stationed in the territory of the states of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, about 8000 thousand sailors, members of their families, took part in writing a geographical dictation. veterans of the Navy, civilian personnel, junior soldiers and naval cadets.

“It is gratifying to note that the writing of the Geographical Dictation arouses great interest among sailors. Today about 100 people took part in the writing of the dictation in the Admiralty building. I note that the main platform for writing dictation by naval sailors was located right here, in the Admiralty, which is the heart of the Navy. For naval sailors, from sailor to admiral, geography at all times aroused the most reverent attitude, which is absolutely logical for those who have devoted their lives to the sea and the navy, ”said the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.

The organizer of the dictation is the All-Russian public organization “Russian Geographical Society”.

The dictation is carried out with the aim of popularizing geographical knowledge and increasing interest in the geography of Russia.
