It is planned to make wide granite sidewalks and restore one-way traffic.

Improvement will be carried out in Khrustalny Lane in 2022. About it in my blog said Sergei Sobyanin.

“A small street between Gostiny Dvor and Srednye trade rows, linking Ilyinka and Varvarka. In ordinary times, it was a place of active movement of cars and people. But in recent years, Khrustalny Lane has actually dropped out of the urban space due to the complex reconstruction of the Middle Trading Rows. This year, it is planned to complete these works, and the renovated architectural monument will house the Moscow Kremlin Museums, ”the Moscow Mayor noted.

According to him, the improvement of Khrustalny Lane will be as careful and sparing as possible. As part of the work, they plan to restore one-way traffic (towards Varvarka) and organize several parking pockets for cars.

“But most of the urban space will be given to pedestrians. Wide granite sidewalks on both sides of Khrustalny Lane will make walks as comfortable as possible for all categories of citizens, ”Sergei Sobyanin said.

To make it more spacious, the street lamps are going to be placed on the facades of the Gostiny Dvor.

Muscovites can express their opinion on the project of improvement of Khrustalny Lane in the “Active Citizen”.

It is planned to include thousands of courtyards, squares and natural areas in the improvement plan for 2022. Work will cover areas throughout the city – from Khrustalny lane near the Kremlin to Bitsevsky forest in the south-west and the floodplain of the Yauza river in the north-east.
