Its length will be more than 16 kilometers – from the Moscow Ring Road to the Rostokinsky aqueduct. This is the largest landscaping project in the capital.

The specialists of the municipal economy complex have completed half of the work on the creation of the Yauza park, which will become the longest ecological park in Europe. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Peter Biryukov.

“The creation of the Yauza park is the largest landscaping project in the capital, its total area will be more than 350 hectares,” noted Pyotr Biryukov. – To date, the work has been completed by 50 percent. The project is being implemented in several stages, at each stage certain areas along the Yauza and its tributaries are being improved ”.

The park is being created on the site of neglected areas. Thanks to the landscaping work, Muscovites will have the opportunity to relax near the river.

Experts have already put in order the territory of the Yauza river floodplain along Chukotsky passage, renovated the Yauza sports park and squares along Tenisty and Lazoreviy passages, and built the Garden of the Future on the site of the Leonovo estate. In 2019, the territory along the Zapovednaya Street was landscaped, this year, large-scale works were carried out on two sections floodplains of the Chermyanka river.

In subsequent years, the work will be continued. They will affect areas along Severodvinskaya Street, from Shirokaya Street to Yeniseiskaya Street, along Olonetsky Proezd and Sukhonskaya Street, from Dekabristov Street to Mussorgsky Street, near the Rostokinsky Worsted Finishing Factory and the Rostokinsky Aqueduct.

“As a result, the longest ecological park in Europe will be formed – more than 16 kilometers. The territory of the future Yauza park will run across the entire north-east of Moscow. It will be a huge recreational ecological zone, which will provide a comfortable and full-fledged rest for Muscovites and guests of the capital, ”added Pyotr Biryukov.

Sergei Sobyanin: I will understand the Yauza from the Moscow Ring Road to Yeniseiskaya Street and will be landscaped according to the wishes of Muscovites
