In the Leningrad Region, in the guards training center for training junior specialists of the Western Military District (ZVO), more than 300 gunners-operators of T-72 tanks, as part of the final exams, performed control firing exercises with live projectiles at emerging and moving targets.

In the daytime and at night, more than 200 tankers fired at targets simulating enemy manpower and armored vehicles located at a distance of 500 to 1800 m.The order of appearance of targets was divided into three options that were not known to the crews before the start of the exercise.

The cadets of the training center for three minutes fired at targets with an average tank speed of about 5 km / h from 125-mm tank guns and 7.62 mm PKT machine guns.

The exams were taken by the military personnel of the district training center after four months of training. Successful passing of the exam will allow them to continue serving in the tank divisions of the Western Military District.
