Servicemen of the Russian military base in Tajikistan held a charity event for the residents of the Yavan district orphanage. The action was timed to coincide with the International Day of Good Deeds.

The servicemen on buses brought pensioners and people with disabilities to Dushanbe and gave them an excursion to the museum and the military temple of the unit.

A hot lunch and a concert program were organized for the guests by children from Sunday school. The concert program included dance performances in the Russian folk genre, pop dances, performances by soloists and spoon dancers.

After the concert, the children presented the guests with food packages prepared by the families of servicemen, and the assistant commander of the unit for work with believing servicemen Roman Chebonenko, on behalf of the base command and himself, wished everyone good health and long years of life.

Also, an excursion was held for the pensioners in the park named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Mironenko, where the chairman of the Council of Veterans Abdurashid Rakhmanov spoke about the heroic deed of the Hero and offered to honor his memory with a minute of silence.
