The marines of the Baltic Fleet have fully completed the airborne training program for the 2021 academic year, having made more than five thousand parachute jumps since December last year.

As part of the training, black berets performed parachute jumps from various heights – from 600 to 1200 meters from An-26 military transport aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters of the naval aviation of the fleet.

Experienced specialists and instructors in parachute training conducted theoretical and practical exercises with servicemen in full. In addition to standard parachute systems, the Marines also used guided ones, such as the Malva and Crossbow.

In the course of airborne training, naval paratroopers fulfilled the standards for the landing of groups of up to 30 people and gathering at designated points after landing, made marches in full combat gear and sabotage actions in the rear of a conventional enemy.

When performing combat training missions, the marines used the modern GLONASS navigation system, as well as improved portable ground reconnaissance equipment.
