The military commissariat of the Samara region has carried out a regular call-up of military athletes for military service in the sports company of CSKA, Samara. The sports company was replenished by 40 professional athletes – members of the Russian national teams from the regions of the Central Military District – the Urals, the Volga region and Siberia.
The recruits were sent from the assembly point of the city of Syzran. They passed a medical commission, tested for the presence of COVID-19, professional selection, received clothing, bank and personal electronic cards, as well as a set of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, shoe covers).
Among the recruits are representatives of 20 Olympic sports, including gymnastics, archery, tennis, weightlifting, fencing, bobsleigh, boxing, swimming, diving, karate, sambo, cycling, athletics, bullet shooting, etc. athletes in this call were represented by already titled army fencers – silver medalists of the foil fencer team tournament at the Olympic Games in Tokyo – the winner of the World Championship in the team, the winner of the Junior World Cup Anton Borodachev and the winner of the European and World Championships Kirill Borodachev.
In the sports company of CSKA, Samara enrolled Master of Sports of international class in archery Buyanto Osorov from Buryatia and Master of Sports of international class in weightlifting Daniil Vagaytsev. The young man came to Samara from Kuzbass. There are also 23 Masters of Sports and 13 candidates for Masters in the sports company.
In the coming week, the rank and file will undergo a “Young Fighter Course” – 40 hours of tactical, fire, and engineering training. The soldiers will study general military regulations, military topography, pass tests in physical and drill training, fulfill the standards for NBC protection and ensuring the security of military service.
The solemn ceremony of swearing in to the military will take place on November 27 in the military history museum of the Officers’ House of the Samara garrison.
