In total, more than four thousand decorative lighting structures will be installed in the city.

The specialists of the municipal economy complex have started to install festive decorative structures and New Year trees in the capital. The decoration of the city will be completed by mid-December.

“Traditionally, we start decorating the city in advance for the New Year and Christmas in order to create a special festive mood for Muscovites and guests of the capital. Currently, large decorative structures are being installed, including light tunnels and arches in the central part of the city. We plan to complete all work by mid-December, “- said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and improvement

Peter Biryukov

More than four thousand decorative lighting structures will be installed in the city. The main symbols of the holiday – New Year trees decorated with colorful balls and garlands – will create a special atmosphere.

The pedestrian zones of the Boulevard Ring will traditionally be decorated with light tunnels and luminous numbers 2022. Light consoles will be installed on the lighting poles along the central streets and on bridges, which have already become the hallmark of New Year’s Moscow streets.

“A huge New Year’s ball weighing 35 tons and 20 meters high will again appear on Poklonnaya Hill, and light figures of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden will appear at the Arc de Triomphe,” said Pyotr Biryukov. “At VDNKh and in Gorky Park, there will be decorative ornaments not only at the central entrances, but throughout the entire territory.”

The park of the Northern River Station will be decorated brightly and like New Year’s, the large-scale improvement of which was completed a year ago. Its territory will be decorated with a Christmas tree and light balls with a warm golden glow.

For the first time, the landscaped areas of the future Yauza park will be festively decorated – on the section from Rostokinsky aqueduct to Severodvinskaya street, six New Year trees, animal figures, illuminated arches, balls and stars will be installed.

The head of the municipal economy complex recalled that modern energy-saving equipment based on LEDs is used to decorate the capital. Such lamps consume ten times less electricity, are safe and are designed to work in any weather conditions.

All festive lighting and decorative designs are multifunctional and reusable.
