More than 300 patients with severe and moderate coronavirus infection are under constant supervision of military doctors in seven medical institutions of the Tula region.

Specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defense from the military medical units and military medical organizations of the Western, Southern and Eastern military districts, the Northern Fleet, the Strategic Missile Forces and the Airborne Forces provide assistance to the local population on the territory of the Shchekino city hospital, Novomoskovsk city clinical hospital, Aleksinskaya district hospital, Kireevskaya central district hospital, City hospital No. 10, TOC for the prevention of AIDS and IZ, Donskoy city hospital.

Military pulmonologists and therapists are monitoring patients around the clock, and additional shifts have been introduced in intensive care units, where military resuscitators are on duty.

In total, over 100 specialists of the military medical service with significant experience in diagnosing and treating patients with COVID-19 were sent to assist the population of the Tula region in the fight against coronavirus infection: therapists, infectious disease specialists, resuscitation specialists, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists.

At the moment, during the time of providing assistance in the fight against coronavirus infection since June of this year, military doctors have received over 3.2 thousand patients in the Tula region.
