Twin brothers Kirill and Anton Borodachev from Samara were drafted into the army. Silver medalists of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games themselves expressed a desire to serve on the draft. They will serve in the CSKA / Samara sports company.

Twin brothers Kirill and Anton Borodachev are Honored Masters of Sports of Russia, awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, 1st Class and the Medal of the Russian Ministry of Defense “For Strengthening the Combat Commonwealth.” The brothers received the last award personally from the hands of the Minister of Defense of Russia, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, after the Tokyo Olympics, where they won silver medals in foil fencing.

The brothers began to practice foil fencing at the age of seven, joined the Russian national team and at the age of 21 in the team championship won silver medals at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, defeating the leaders of the world ranking, the US national team, in the semifinals, but losing in the decisive match to the French foil fencers.

During the service, athletes will be provided with the opportunity to continue training and defend the honor of the country at all-Russian and international competitions.

From the assembly point of the Samara region, 23 masters of sports and 13 candidates for master of sports went to the place of service in the CSKA / Samara sports company. All of them represent 20 Olympic sports and are members of the Russian national team.
