Competitions in 24 subjects were held from mid-September to the end of October.
Moscow summed up the results of the school stage All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren… This year, more than 515 thousand people took part in it. Almost 300 thousand children won diplomas of winners and prize-winners.
The school stage ran from mid-September to the end of October. The tasks of the Olympiad were designed for students in grades 5-11. However, fourth-grade schoolchildren could also try their hand at mathematics and Russian.
According to the supervisor Center for ExcellenceIvan Yashchenko, the number of participants in the school stage is growing every year.
“Last year, almost 430 thousand children took part in the school stage alone, and everyone had the opportunity to try their hand during the spring invitation stage. This year it was also held, but it was not taken into account when summing up the results of the school stage, but allowed the children to choose a subject and prepare for the Olympiad. The large number of participants suggests that the Olympiad is interesting and that it is easy and convenient to participate in it. The digital format was chosen here for a reason – it has already been tested and proven to be effective. Many children became interested in the Olympiad after the invitation stage. Participation in it is a good training and an opportunity to get acquainted with the competition. We see that mathematics is especially popular among children. After all, this science is in demand in the modern world. Also worth noting is the Russian language Olympiad. Each of these subjects was chosen by more than 200 thousand participants, ”said Ivan Yashchenko.
Participants of the school stage among grades 7-11, who received the required number of points, were invited to the next, municipal, stage of the competition. It runs until mid-December.
A system for the development and support of talented students in schools, circles, and additional classes is actively working in Moscow. In addition, the online courses of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence and the Association of Olympiad Winners help schoolchildren prepare for the competition.
The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is held in 24 subjects: astronomy, biology, geography, computer science, history, literature, mathematics, world art culture, the basics of life safety, social studies, law, Russian language, technology, physics, physical education, chemistry, ecology, economics, English, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, German and French. The competition consists of four stages: school, municipal, regional and final.
The organizer of the school stage in Moscow is the Moscow Department of Education and Science, coordinated by the Center for Pedagogical Excellence.
