Several tons of liquefied oxygen were prepared by the servicemen of the gas supply group of one of the aviation units of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia (OKVS) and are ready to transfer it to the healthcare institutions of the Kamchatka Territory.

The medical service of OKVS is ready, upon request, to organize the transfer of oxygen to the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka Territory and the Sakhalin Region.

The accumulated oxygen reserves make it possible to fully meet the pilots’ own needs in Kamchatka and provide assistance to civilian doctors.

The day before, the gas supply group replenished oxygen for the Pacific Fleet’s naval clinical hospital using the TKDS-100 station.

Oxygen is necessary to provide for patients, including those with a severe course of the new coronavirus infection.

Liquefied oxygen is produced from the air by oxygen-producing stations of aviation technical bases to support aircraft flights. Further, the storage tank is filled with gas, from which specially prepared cylinders are then filled. Its storage and transportation is carried out in liquid form in special containers.

For one shift in the work of the gas supply group in Kamchatka, about 1 ton of liquefied oxygen is produced.
