The promotion will last until November 30. After that, the volunteers will form New Year’s gift sets from the collected items and donate them to nursing homes.

“New Year is the expectation of something bright and kind, some kind of miracle, albeit small. Of course, I want to give this feeling of celebration to everyone, especially those who need it. Together with our partners, we decided to hold an action to help people of the older generation. I think that gifts from Muscovites will surely fill the life of nursing homes with light and kindness, ”said Anatoly Zorin, director of the Mosvolonter resource center.

Gifts may include board games, home, sports and sleepwear, and supplies for creativity. They must be new and individually wrapped. A complete list of things that can be brought as a gift can be found at link.

The “Gifts for the Elderly” campaign is part of the Moscow Volunteer – 2021 competition. It becomes a platform for good deeds not only for the participants, but also for all Muscovites. Also, within the framework of the competition, from November 25, there will be an action to collect feed for animals from shelters. #FriendsHouse… Both contestants and all concerned residents of the city can join it. You can not only bring everything you need to the office of the resource center, but also take it to the shelters yourself. Mosvolonter also supports the “Box of Courage” campaign. A box has been installed in the office of the center, where you can bring gifts for children who are undergoing long-term treatment in medical institutions.

The resource center also regularly hosts other charity events. For example, volunteers collect recyclable materials in order to then hand them over for processing, feed wild animals in winter.
