More than 1.1 billion rubles will be allocated to regional social benefits for non-working pensioners. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Funding will be received by 15 regions, in which the number of recipients of social benefits has increased. Such regions include Buryatia, Karelia, Yakutia, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Amur, Leningrad, Magadan, Murmansk and Novosibirsk Regions, the Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Districts.

Social supplements are received by non-working pensioners, the total amount of material support for which is below the subsistence level established in the region for this category of citizens.

The issue of the allocation of funding was considered and approved at a meeting of the Government on November 17.
