Cadets of the military training center (VTC) of the Ural Federal University (UrFU) took part in commemorative events dedicated to the centenary of the birth of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Colonel-General of Aviation Mikhail Petrovich Odintsov, which took place in Yekaterinburg.

Commemorative events began with a rally near school # 36, where the then-future military pilot Mikhail Odintsov studied. During the meeting, the cadets were reminded of the feat of the famous fellow countryman. Then, for the students of the military training center, an excursion was held in the school museum, where future officers could see the unique exhibits – a bust of the hero, a parachute with the back of an airplane seat that saved his life, and a personal helmet of the pilot.

The commemorative events ended with the laying of flowers at the monument to the twice Hero of the Soviet Union, General – Aviation Colonel Mikhail Petrovich Odintsov, located opposite the Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School.
