In the Shchelkovo Library No. 1, a lesson of courage was held “They stood for victory, they stood for Moscow”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow, for conscripts of a separate command-measuring complex.

A veteran of the armed forces, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Glushenkov, spoke to the servicemen with brief historical information. He told the servicemen about a bright page in the heroic chronicle of the Great Patriotic War – the Soviet counteroffensive on the outskirts of the capital.

After the introductory speech of the invited guest, the leading librarian Galina Belenkova held a historical-patriotic game for the military personnel “Counteroffensive near Moscow”, in which the participants had a chance to feel like the commanders of the Red Army.

The participants of the event showed excellent knowledge of the biography of the high command and the highest awards of the Great Patriotic War, were able to read the intercepted enemy report in German. In the game, the participants showed themselves as talented, intelligent and courageous defenders of the Motherland.
