In the city of Doha (Qatar), the competitive program of the 44th World Championship of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM) in parachuting starts.

The national team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in full force took part in the opening ceremony of the 44th International Council of Military Sports (CISM) World Parachuting Championship.

Thirteen athletes of the Central Sports Club of the Army, two representatives of the Airborne Forces (Ryazan) and one representative of the Central Military District (Yekaterinburg) will participate in the tournament as part of the Russian Armed Forces national team. Among them there are 7 men and 6 women.

The Russian flag will be defended in the following teams: women – captain Evgeniya Furman, senior lieutenant Elena Tusheva, senior warrant officer Elena Laktionova, sergeants Maria Elkina and Ksenia Fominykh, in the junior category, sergeant Vlada Krivenko; Men – Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Maksimov, Lieutenant Alexey Bykov, Warrant Officers Konstantin Kotov, Mikhail Melnikov, Sergeant Azat Pasyev, in the junior category Private Ivan Cherdantsev, Air Operator Warrant Officer Valery Khyuvenen.
