More than 160 patients with severe and extremely severe COVID-19 were treated by military doctors of the Central Military District (CVO) in intensive care units of medical institutions of the Republic of Khakassia.

Thanks to the joint, operational actions of military and civilian doctors, more than 80 patients were transferred from the intensive care units for further rehabilitation to medical departments. Military nurses carry out round-the-clock monitoring of their condition, also assist in resuscitation and carry out medical appointments.

The military medical and nursing teams include specialists with significant experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with coronavirus infection: therapists, infectious disease specialists, resuscitation specialists, anesthesiologists, pulmonologists and others.

As previously reported, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, instructed the commander of the Central Military District to provide assistance to regional medical institutions of the Republic of Khakassia in the treatment of patients with new coronavirus infection.
