A delegation of the Committee on Emergencies and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe are on a working visit to Moscow to study the experience of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

During the visit, the leadership of the Russian Emergencies Ministry acquainted colleagues from Tajikistan with the latest fire and rescue equipment, which is currently in service with the department.

As part of the exchange of experience, the delegation visited the 4th fire and rescue unit of the CJSC Directorate of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in Moscow to get acquainted with the activities of the capital’s fire and rescue units. The guests were shown the Purga 2 and FLEXI FOAM foam fire extinguishing installations, as well as the work of the Cobra waterjet cutting department. Foreign colleagues noted the high level of readiness, efficiency and coordination of the fire and rescue unit to perform tasks as intended.

Then colleagues from Tajikistan were introduced to the life of firefighters. They examined the premises for the rest of the personnel, the traffic safety class and the training of drivers, rooms for the storage and maintenance of fire-technical equipment. The guests noted the Museum of Military Glory 1941-1945, which the unit employees created themselves, on their own and continue to do this to this day, replenishing the collection with various things and objects inherited from their ancestors, as well as finding them during excavations.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the delegation left a memorable entry in the historical form of the fire and rescue unit, exchanged souvenirs and shared their impressions with each other.
