The Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 70 “Lightning” on Ikshinskaya Street will undergo a major overhaul. The project documentation has already been approved. This was announced by the chairman Moskomexpertiza Valery Leonov.

“All the necessary conditions are being created in the capital for Muscovites to have the opportunity to engage in physical education in the immediate vicinity of their homes. Thus, Mosgosexpertiza approved a project for the overhaul of the one-story building of the Olympic reserve sports school No. 70 “Lightning”, built in 1961 according to an individual project. Both external and internal works are planned, including the repair of the power supply, sewerage, heating and water supply systems, ”he said.

The building will replace metal window sills on the facade and renew the roof over the porch of the main entrance. Interior works include restoration of walls and ceilings. In dressing rooms, showers, corridors and bathrooms, ceramic granite tiles will be laid, and in sports halls, a tongue-and-groove floor. It is also planned to change doors, windows and window sills. They will carry out a complete interior decoration of all premises: main, auxiliary, service and technical. The architectural appearance of the building will be preserved.
