Last weekend, the entire literary and journalistic community of St. Petersburg, together with the townspeople, celebrated the 105th anniversary of the birth of the poet, screenwriter, translator, journalist, public figure, USSR State Prize laureate, deputy of the USSR Supreme Soviet, Hero of Socialist Labor Mikhail Dudin. By this date, a literary and journalistic program “Both a song and a soul …”

The servicemen who arrived from different parts of Russia learned about what kind of person and citizen Mikhail Dudin was, got acquainted with the best lines of his poetry. Freshmen of the Faculty of Energy – participants of the propaganda team at the museum-club complex – shared their creativity with fellow students. On the eve, amateur debutant artists performed their musical and poetry program in front of residents and guests of the Northern capital within the framework of the public action “Open microphone: remembering Mikhail Dudin”, which took place in the park on the Petrogradskaya side. During the poetic marathon, together with the soloists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Western Military District (ZVO), the most popular songs written to the words of Mikhail Dudin were performed by cadets of the Faculty of Naval Base Construction, captivating all spectators with their vocal art.

For the young people who participated in the actions, among whom, in addition to the cadets of the VI (IT) VAMTO, there were juniors from the 189th secondary school of the Central District of St. readers of the Shlisselburg city library named after Mikhail Dudina, this was the event of a genuine meeting with real history – a true dialogue of several generations.
