On November 23, a tactical fire-fighting exercise was held in the Novosibirsk Region to rescue people and eliminate a simulated fire in the Colorlon hypermarket. At the beginning of the training, the store staff launched a fire warning system and evacuated the visitors.
According to the legend of the teachings, the fire occurred in a warehouse. For customers and employees, there was a danger of a rapid spread of fire throughout the store area due to the large amount of flammable building materials.
The arriving fire and rescue units proceeded to reconnaissance, search and evacuation of people from the premises and extinguish the fire. According to the information received, people could remain in the warehouse. The GDZS units rescued two extra people. Locating the missing was complicated by the darkness in the warehouse and the size of the room, in which conditions were artificially created to simulate an emergency as much as possible.
“Our task was to assess the readiness of the personnel to extinguish fires at shopping facilities with a heavy load of combustible material. I note the competent and well-coordinated actions of the store staff, who, upon receiving the introductory letter, organized the evacuation of customers and provided our specialists with access to the building, “commented the head of the exercise, Roman Pekshev.
There were also unexpected introductions to the rescue of the missing gas and smoke defenders. The fire fighters quickly found their comrades and took them out into the fresh air.
The service personnel of the hypermarket and the personnel of the fire and rescue units received the necessary experience in practical actions in the event of a fire in the store building.
