The 35th International Council of Military Sports (CISM) wrestling competitions continue in Tehran (Iran).

The athletes of the Russian Armed Forces national team brought 5 more awards in freestyle wrestling to the team’s common piggy bank.

The representative of the Central Military District, private Nachyn Mongush, became the world champion among military personnel in the weight category up to 61 kg.

Another gold award was brought to the collection of the Russian Armed Forces team by the army athlete, private Vladislav Valiev, who won the competition in the weight category up to 92 kg.

Warrant officer Nachyn Kuular (Central Military District) won a silver medal in the weight category up to 70 kg.

The winner of the bronze medal in the weight category up to 79 kg was CSKA representative private David Betanov. Another “bronze” was on the account of army lieutenant Alan Khugaev, who became the third in the weight category up to 125 kg.

It is important to note that all representatives of the freestyle wrestling team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation completed the World Championship among military personnel with awards. In terms of the number of awards won in this style, the Russian Armed Forces team took first place. In the second, representatives of the Iranian team finished these competitions, in the third – the wrestlers-military personnel of Armenia.

Now representatives of the Greco-Roman style are entering the struggle for awards. The 35th World Military Wrestling Championship will end on November 26.
