Resolution of November 22, 2021 No. 2004

In 2022, residents of the Far North will be able to receive compensation for travel and baggage charges that were not used in 2020-2021. The decree on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

Citizens who work in the Far North and equivalent territories, as well as their minor children, have the right to compensation. Once every two years, at the expense of the employer, they are reimbursed for the cost of travel and baggage to the place of vacation and back.

According to the law, compensation is not paid if the employee has not applied for them on time. However, in 2020-2021, due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus, most of the trips had to be postponed. To protect the rights of citizens, it was decided to extend the period for receiving such payments.

In addition, the decree provides that the children of an employee who turned 18 in 2020-2021 are also eligible for compensation in 2022.

The signed document changes Government Decree of June 19, 2020 No. 887.
