City utilities and enterprises of the fuel and energy complex are ready for winter, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for housing and communal services and improvement Peter Biryukov.
“Based on the results of the inspections, the prefectures of the administrative districts received passports of readiness for work in the winter period from the specialized structure of Rostekhnadzor; earlier, the relevant documents were issued by the Ministry of Energy to enterprises of the fuel and energy complex,” said Pyotr Biryukov.
According to him, all power facilities, heat, gas, electric networks and utilities are capable of providing high-quality and reliable heat supply to the capital. He also recalled that more than 74 thousand residential buildings and social facilities of the city were prepared for the heating season on time (by September 1).
“The city services carried out a complex of hydraulic and temperature tests on heating networks to identify possible violations, prepared CHP, boiler houses, heat points and stations, water supply, sewerage, gas and electric networks. All systems and equipment were carefully checked and tested to ensure their uninterrupted operation, ”the deputy mayor emphasized.
At present, urban resource supply systems have the necessary power reserve: 48 percent for heat, 23 percent for gas supply, 53 percent for water supply, 19 percent for power grids, and 41 percent for sewerage.
“The achieved indicators of system reliability and capacity redundancy make it possible to stably provide consumers with resources in the autumn-winter period. The city has created fuel reserves – 365 thousand tons of coal, 378 thousand tons of fuel oil and 24.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel, ”added Pyotr Biryukov.
More than 1.4 thousand emergency teams are ready to promptly respond to possible emergency situations. They are equipped with specialized equipment, emergency sources of electricity and heat supply.
