Now all data on the results of examinations, analyzes, the course of pregnancy, possible complications and prescriptions made are available to doctors in obstetric hospitals.

All maternity hospitals and perinatal centers of the capital were connected to the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (UMIAS). The implementation of the services of a unified digital healthcare platform will improve the quality of medical care for patients during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. Connecting institutions to UMIAS is an important stage in the development of digital services in the capital’s healthcare, she said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

“Now all the data on the results of examinations, analyzes, the course of pregnancy, possible complications and prescriptions made are available to doctors in the corresponding obstetric hospitals. There is an immediate benefit from connecting maternity hospitals to UMIAS for parents as well. The discharge report of the postpartum woman is uploaded to the electronic medical record. This information will be available to medical workers, which will ensure continuity in monitoring a woman’s health, make the provided medical care more timely and effective, ”said Anastasia Rakova.

The implementation of UMIAS allows doctors to spend less time on maintaining medical records and pay more attention to their patients. A number of the most important medical documents for an obstetric hospital have been converted into electronic form, for example, a birth protocol and a partogram.

For the first time, the work processes of doctors related to the maternity hospital, resuscitation and nursing of newborns were integrated with a single digital platform in the perinatal center of the city clinical hospital No. 24. Now all primary medical documentation here is fully conducted in UMIAS.

The platform has been implemented in all outpatient clinics in the city and in most hospitals. It is also available to ambulance and emergency teams.
