“Sea ships should be …” – the decree of Peter I, signed 325 years ago, gave rise to the construction of the Russian fleet and became an important historical date, as well as an excellent occasion for numerous naval games and competitions.

In honor of this event in the Sevastopol branch of the Nakhimov Naval School (VMUU), the quest “Military Science – Science to Win” is held annually.

Nakhimovites of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd courses, as well as pupils of the 8th “D” grade took part in the intellectual-sports competition. To complete the quest, it was required to go through sports and scientific stations. The number of points received directly depended on the speed of passing and the quality of the tasks, so that the participants had to not only run around the stations, but also apply their knowledge and skills to get not only points, but also letters, from which at the final stage they had to make a word and give it a definition.

The annual quest always arouses great interest in Nakhimovites and attracts a large number of participants. Several teams contested for the prizes at the same time. According to the results of the game, the jury of 7th and 8th grade students distributed the places as follows: the third place went to teams of 5 “G” and 6 “V” grades, the second place went to the Nakhimovites 6 “G” and 6 “D”, and the winners, who took the first place, were the guys from 6 “A” and 8 “D” grades.

The teams that won prizes were awarded with diplomas.
