In the formations and military units of the Eastern Military District (VVO), as part of the autumn conscription of citizens for military service, young replenishment continues to arrive. At the moment, the overall rate of VVO conscripts vaccinated against COVID-19 is 73 percent.

In particular, 21 percent of the total number of recruits arrives in the troops already vaccinated against coronavirus infection before being drafted into the army, 52 percent are vaccinated directly at the medical centers of the formations and military units of the district. In units, servicemen are vaccinated with a two-component domestic drug “Gam-COVID-Vak” (“Sputnik V”).

Vaccination of young recruits is carried out after the expiration of a two-week quarantine stay. Now the total number of this category of recruits varies within 27 percent.

Vaccinations are given in two stages with an interval of 21 days. After the completion of vaccination, each participant is issued a special certificate of receipt of a preventive vaccination against COVID-19.

In the course of daily activities in the units of the young replenishment, increased measures are taken to prevent the spread of viral infections. In addition to regular medical examinations, the barracks are sanitized, and the mask regime is observed. In addition, the medical institutions of military units have the necessary supply of medicines for seasonal colds.
