About 90 percent of enterprises also pay for housing and communal services on time.

Most residents of the capital pay utility bills without delay, Sergei Sobyanin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The overwhelming majority of Muscovites pay for these services accurately. If we take the average payment in the city, then the payment is 100 percent. Someone slightly underpaid, someone paid in advance, and so on. And as a result, we have one hundred percent payment for communal services from the population, ”said the Moscow Mayor.

At the same time, people of the older generation are the most responsible for paying for housing and communal services. And problems arise only with Muscovites, who simply do not want to pay at all or do it at the wrong time.

To make it easier to pay for housing and utilities, a single payment document has been introduced in the capital, social programs and benefits are in place. In particular, material assistance to pay for housing and communal services is received by about four million Muscovites… You can pay all bills immediately with one touch on the portalas well as in the mobile application “My Moscow”… You can pay at the same time bills for housing and communal services, home telephone, internet and electricity, as well as charges for kindergarten, transport fines and much more. Previously, you had to confirm each of these payments separately.

“For those who, for some reason, cannot pay, there is a social protection system, which is quite effective in Moscow. Therefore, in general, utilities can be satisfied in terms of payment for their services, ”said Sergei Sobyanin.

Among enterprises, the situation with payments for utilities is a little worse – utilities receive about 90 percent of payments.

The Moscow Mayor recalled that starting next year, the capital will finally switch to a new waste collection system.

“From January 1, we are already entering a new system that covers the entire residential sector and all commercial enterprises. A single regional operator, a single system of contractors, and uniform tariffs in the city are being introduced. That is, it works as a single organism, ”said the Mayor of Moscow.

Separate waste collection in the capital is gaining momentum. For six months of 2021, during sorting, it was allocated and sent for processing over 480 thousand tons of recyclable materials – 17 percent more than in the same period last year.

“They began to take much less garbage to landfills, and give more garbage for recycling. This is a very important area, ”stressed Sergei Sobyanin.

Additional waste processing is also carried out at the landfills themselves, which makes it possible to reduce waste disposal to a minimum.
