Specialists of the housing and communal service No. 11 (Volgograd) of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution (FSBI) “Central Housing and Communal Administration” (“TsZhKU”) of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the Southern Military District (YuVO) completed the overhaul of the on-site cold water supply network of the military camp located on Domostroiteley Street in Volgograd.

The complex of works was carried out due to the deterioration of the water supply network. The specialists carried out a complete replacement of the on-site cold water supply network with the laying of 2 thousand 125 running meters. m of polyethylene pipes with a service life of more than 50 years.

The installation of 20 new water supply wells was completed, a water supply chamber was built, and 4 external fire hydrants were installed. 4 barracks, a medical center, 2 canteens, a headquarters building and 10 other objects of a military camp for various purposes are connected to the laid cold water supply network.

To ensure the working pressure inside the water supply network, 2 frequency-controlled pumps are installed in the boiler house.

At present, work on the improvement of the territory is being completed: the restoration of the asphalt concrete pavement and the installation of curb stones in the places of their violation.

Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the employees of the housing and communal service No. 11 of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “TsZhKU” of the Ministry of Defense of Russia in the Southern Military District and the contractor “Construction Technologies”, all work on the restoration of cold water supply was completed on time.

The overhaul of the cold water supply network guarantees uninterrupted and trouble-free water supply to units and military units deployed in the military camp, not only in the autumn-winter heating period of 2021-2022, but also for many years to come, which will contribute to maintaining a constant combat readiness of military personnel.
