The combat crews of the ground-based automated control complex of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces ensured the launch of the Progress M-UM transport cargo ship – module (TGKM) from the Baikonur cosmodrome.

Ground measuring instruments of the Main Testing Space Center named after G.S. Titov of the 15th Special Purpose Aerospace Forces ensured stable tracking of the Soyuz 2.1b medium-class launch vehicle and Progress M-UM TGKM at the stage of launching and in orbital flight to the International space station (ISS).

Specialists of the 15th Army of the Aerospace Forces carried out operational processing of telemetric information from the carrier rocket in the active phase of the orbital flight.

In total, more than 30 ground-based measuring instruments and about 350 servicemen of combat crews and civilian personnel of the Main Testing Space Center named after G.S. Titov were involved in ensuring the launch of the Progress M-UM TGKM.
