In Tehran (Iran), all the awards of the 35th World Championship of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM) in wrestling were raffled off. On the final day, the classic wrestlers brought 4 more awards to the collection of the national team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Senior Lieutenant Sergei Yemelin became the winner of the World Championship among military personnel in the weight category up to 60 kg.

Ensign Alexei Kiyankin won the silver medal, becoming the second in the weight category up to 67 kg. Another silver medal was given to corporal Sergei Stepanov (Central Military District) in the weight category up to 77 kg.

Warrant officer Davit Chakvetadze, who became the third in the weight category up to 87 kg, brought the bronze medal to the piggy bank of the Russian Armed Forces team.

According to the results of competitions in Greco-Roman wrestling, representatives of the national team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation took second place, losing to the Iranian team in terms of the number of awards. The third place among the classic wrestlers was taken by the military personnel of Armenia.

In the final team standings of the 35th World Championship of the International Council of Military Sports (CISM) in wrestling, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces team became the best. The second place was taken by the representatives of Iran, the third by the athletes of the Armenian Armed Forces.
