In Dagestan, at the Scorpion training ground, a special tactical exercise was held for the calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and airborne assault units of the marine corps of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL).

The calculations of the UAV “Orlan-10” made a march to the designated area, deployed a command post and conducted aerial reconnaissance of the area.

The specialists of the unmanned aviation unit found command posts and warehouses with ammunition of the simulated enemy, passed on the data to the commanders of the marines. The task was complicated by unfavorable meteorological conditions.

The servicemen of the airborne assault units of the Marine Corps, having received the coordinates, performed orientation on the terrain, and then made a raid into the rear of the imaginary enemy with the aim of capturing and destroying military facilities. Also, the Marines worked out elements of camouflage on the ground, covert movement, actions as part of reconnaissance groups and consolidated the skills for installing mine explosive devices.

Despite the difficult weather conditions, the calculations of the UAV complexes and the airborne assault units successfully coped with the task.

In total, about 200 KFL Marine Corps soldiers took part in the special tactical exercise, about 5 Orlan-10 drone crews were involved.
