The leading buyer of Russian agricultural products, the European Union with a share of 13.4%, has increased imports since the beginning of the year by 43.1%, to $ 4.063 billion. Turkey, the leader in September, remains in second place: the country increased purchases by 32.5%, to $ 3.542 billion, and its share in the total supply of agricultural products from the Russian Federation amounted to 11.7%.

In third place is China: exports to this country decreased by 10.7% and currently stands at $ 3.1 billion, the share in the total volume is 10.2%. The top 10 importers of Russian agricultural products also include South Korea, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expects that the export of agricultural products from Russia by the end of the year will amount to 34-35 billion dollars. When calculating the indicators of the federal project “Export of agricultural products”, the Ministry, in addition to the data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS), uses the data of Rosstat on the export of fish and seafood outside the customs territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a number of other goods.

According to the Federal Customs Service, the export of food products and agricultural raw materials from Russia in 2020 amounted to $ 29.585 billion, an increase of 19.1% over the previous year. According to Agroexport, the supply of agricultural products from the Russian Federation abroad in 2020 amounted to $ 30.556 billion.
