Major General Igor Timofeev, acting commander of the combined-arms formation of the Eastern Military District (VVO), inspected the training of personnel and the readiness of the training and material base of formations and military units deployed in the Republic of Buryatia for the winter period of training.
Preparations for the winter training period, which will begin on December 1, are nearing completion in the formations and military units of the association. Instructor-methodological and command training sessions were held with officers, non-commissioned officers and certain categories of specialists. The repair, maintenance and improvement of the portable and order-based training and material base are being completed, the elements of the range equipment have been updated. Specialized classrooms equipped with modern computer simulators have been prepared for work.
Target complexes with a system for changing the tactical situation and electronic recording of the results of combat firing have been installed for motorized rifle subunits. Also equipped with firing positions with gabion shelters for military equipment, elements of destroyed buildings, blocked cracks, tunnels and other engineering structures.
To train tank crews, the Syrian Ramparts, obstacle areas for flank firing and tactical and fire firing exercises have been equipped. Changes have been made to the sniper training program and new exercises have been added. Cities for tactical, engineering, medical training, as well as sites for meeting the standards have been updated.
In preparation for the winter period of study, special attention is paid to the admission of young recruits for the autumn draft. Currently, recruits continue to arrive from assembly points to formations and military units of the formation, after which the young recruits undergo a course of combined arms training, then take the Military Oath.
The final stage of preparation for the winter period of training is to conduct comprehensive classes to study safety and health requirements in daily activities and during combat training.
