Part of the former Kapotnya industrial zone in the southeast of the capital will be reorganized according to the program “Industrial quarters”… The volume of investments in the development of more than eight hectares of the territory will amount to 30 billion rubles. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.
“The area of the site of the former industrial zone, subject to integrated development, will be 8.3 hectares. The territory is located between Verkhniye Polya and Chaginskaya streets in the south-east of Moscow. Now there are car services and open container warehouses. The investor will invest 30 billion rubles in the implementation of the project, and the annual revenues to the city budget will amount to almost four billion rubles. Enterprises and public and business facilities will be built here, where more than 2.5 thousand new jobs will be created, ”he said.
According to the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city of Moscow Alexandra Prokhorova, On the territory of the former industrial zone, it is planned to build 136 thousand square meters of real estate.
“Modern high-tech enterprises will occupy half of the site – 68 thousand square meters. According to the draft decision, centers for scientific research, research and development may appear here. The same area will house shops, banks, cafes and other public and business buildings, ”added the head of the department.
Comprehensive development of the territories of the former industrial zones of Moscow within the framework of the project “Industrial quarters”will allow the city to get about 500 thousand jobs and almost three trillion rubles of budget revenues. The total investment will amount to over seven trillion rubles.
The Industrial Quarters project makes it possible to bring unused and virtually abandoned urban areas into circulation. The first agreement on their integrated development was concluded in July 2020 and related to the site of the Oktyabrskoye Pole industrial zone (total area – 5.92 hectares). Investments in the development of the former industrial zone will amount to about 14 billion rubles, the budgetary effect – about 1.8 billion rubles. The project is scheduled for six years, but the investor plans to complete the construction by 2024.
At the beginning of November 2020, the country’s first auction for the right to conclude an agreement for the integrated development of the territory was held in Moscow. As a result, part of the Korovino industrial zone in the north of the capital will be reorganized. In June, at the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, two more agreements were signed on the integrated development of the territories of Kuntsev and the second section of Korovin. In September 2021, the fifth agreement was signed – on the reorganization of the Altufevskoe Highway industrial zone.
