At the VII scientific and practical conference “The system of interdepartmental information interaction in solving problems in the field of defense of the Russian Federation” the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, said that in 2021 the Russian Armed Forces provided assistance in the fight against coronavirus in more than 15 countries.
“By joint efforts, the architecture of peaceful life is being built in the zone of the Karabakh conflict, in Syria. Armenia, Afghanistan, Syria and Cuba received effective humanitarian aid. In addition, more than 15 countries received assistance from both Russia and its Armed Forces in the fight against the pandemic. These are both far abroad and near abroad, ”said General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
At the same time, he noted that “not a single task of national importance – whether it be the defense of the country or the fight against coronavirus – can be solved without consolidated efforts, reliable, uninterrupted functioning of the interdepartmental interaction system.”
In addition, the Minister of Defense of Russia said that this year the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were repeatedly involved in eliminating the consequences of emergencies and providing assistance to the population of regions affected by natural disasters.
Opening the conference, he invited the participants to honor the miners who died in Kuzbass with a minute of silence.
During the conference, the Russian Defense Ministry signed several dozen agreements, in particular over 10, concerning the development of military enlistment offices, with the leaders of Russian regions.
“I have just signed about a dozen agreements with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. These agreements concern military commissariats, the creation of their modern appearance. And a lot needs to be done for this, ”Sergei Shoigu said.
He said that to date, agreements have been signed with 40 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, 43 more are in the stage of approval.
