The Marine Corps of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) completed 100% of the tasks of amphibious assault training (TIR) ​​in the second half of 2021.

The amphibious training of units was organized in accordance with the methodological instructions of the CFL commander and the Navy’s combat training program for the 2021 academic year.

During the TIR events, the Marines studied the organization of loading, the arrangement of loading and unloading facilities, the procedure for disembarking equipment on an unequipped coast, afloat and berth, the rules of conduct for personnel on the ship, the organization of the fight for the survivability of the ship, as well as safety requirements and rules for emergency use. – rescue and evacuation means.

The marines carried out loading and unloading of equipment onto a mock ship, practiced loading onto landing ships, access to an unequipped section of the sea coast in various ways. Also, the servicemen learned to prepare equipment and cargo for going ashore, perform rigging work, use storm ladders and sweeping nets to disembark personnel from transports to landing craft.

The TIR training activities were carried out in cooperation with the crews of the landing craft of the KFL surface ships brigade and the Black Sea Fleet.

In the second half of 2021, more than 400 practical TIR exercises were conducted with the KFL Marine Corps units, including about 200 for loading (unloading) equipment onto landing craft. Of these, about 60 at night, as well as over 40 trainings for the embarkation (disembarkation) of personnel from high-speed boats, artillery boats and large landing craft. More than 120 tactical and special exercises were carried out, 15 of them at night to prepare weapons and military equipment for overcoming water spaces.

In addition, the CFL marines practiced TIR tasks as part of a tactical amphibious assault during a bilateral brigade exercise in conjunction with motorized rifle units of the 58th combined arms army, as well as bilateral battalion tactical exercises in cooperation with the aviation of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District.

In total, more than 1.5 servicemen of the Marine Corps of the KFL were involved in the implementation of training tasks for amphibious training, more than 200 pieces of weapons, military equipment, including warships and amphibious landing vehicles of the flotilla, were involved.
