In the Ramenki area, a major overhaul of a house built in 1955 has been completed. The eight-storey building is located not far from the Mosfilm film studio at the address: Pyreva Street, Building 4, Building 3. The L-shaped house was erected in the style of Soviet neoclassicism. There are only four buildings of this series in Moscow.

As part of the regional program for the overhaul of apartment buildings, specialists cleaned and treated the street facades with an antifungal agent. They are made of red unpainted ceramic blocks. After that, a thin water-repellent film was applied to protect the house from moisture.

The crown cornice along the perimeter of the building was restored to its original appearance, recreating the lost elements. By the decision of the owners, the brick walls from the side of the courtyard were painted in a rich red color, darker and brighter than before.

The entrances, roof and basement were also repaired, drainage systems, cold and hot water supply, heat and power supply systems were replaced.

Until 1988, Pyryev Street was called 1st Mosfilmovsky Lane, and after that it was renamed in memory of the director, People’s Artist of the USSR Ivan Pyryev. Among his popular works are the films “Pig and Shepherd”, “At six o’clock in the evening after the war”, “Kuban Cossacks”.
