Over 400 ideas for changing the urban environment proposed this year will be implemented.

To love the capital means to change it for the better every day. This is what the platform participants are doing. “City of Ideas”where everyone makes their own suggestions on how to make Moscow even more beautiful and more comfortable.

With the help of the City of Ideas, you can open a circle at the cultural center, create a new format for excursions to the capital’s parks, hold an ecological clean-up, plant new trees and do much more in a variety of ways. Muscovites’ proposals are considered and put to a vote, and the ideas that received the largest number of votes are successfully implemented.

“This year, on the City of Ideas platform, we managed to implement six projects in the field of entrepreneurship and business, culture and other important topics. We have received from the participants more than four thousand initiatives, over 400 of which are planned to be implemented, ”said Alexander Pischelko, head of the State Institution“ New Management Technologies ”, responsible for the development of the“ City of Ideas ”project.

Excursions in parks

Muscovite Nadezhda Basangova calls herself a young pensioner and takes long walks every day, posting photos on the Instagram social network. According to her, she walked almost all of Moscow on foot. Most of all, Nadezhda likes parks. Mini-travel prompted her to suggest the idea of guided tours for retirees. Thanks to the initiative residents, they are already being held in some parks.

“I have been registered on the City of Ideas platform since 2019 and I think it is wonderful in the sense that everyone, regardless of age, will find something interesting for themselves here. Walking around Moscow, I notice that there are few people of my age on the streets, but we have such an interesting city, there are so many interesting things. That is why I suggested the format of the excursions. Why guided tours? Because not all elderly people can go to the park on their own, and children cannot accompany their parents on every walk: some are at work, some live in another area. And on excursions there are a lot of people, everyone communicates, gets to know each other and, most importantly, expand their horizons, ”says Nadezhda Basangova.

The City of Ideas platform not only can, but for several years has changed and continues to change Moscow for the better – in this Nadezhda Basangova is 100 percent sure. After all, much of what has appeared in the capital and has become our everyday life was suggested by the Muscovites themselves.

Amateur theater

Alina Martynova has been living in the Golyanovo region since birth. She learned about the City of Ideas four years ago thanks to the Active Citizen app. At first, the Muscovite was skeptical of the new platform for her. However, after seeing how the youth library in the neighboring Preobrazhenskoye district changed with the help of the residents’ ideas, she changed her mind.

“Previously, it was an ordinary library, but now it is a modern comfortable cultural center with a lecture hall and a coworking area. This convinced me of the effectiveness of the crowdsourcing practice, and I became an active participant in it, ”says Alina Martynova.

In Golyanovo, she proposed creating a psychologist’s office for adults, a teenage career guidance circle, a blogger and multimedia journalist circle, a spoken foreign language club, an etiquette school for young girls, an art club, an anime and animation circle.

“Unfortunately, we do not have a full-fledged House of Culture and Creativity in Golyanovo, so many have to travel to other areas, which is not very convenient, especially with small children. Therefore, all my proposals, one way or another, revolved around the creation of a cultural center and circles that could be opened there in order to answer the requests of all segments of the population, ”Alina notes.

Most of all, platform participants and experts liked her proposal to create an amateur theater at the cultural center, where everyone can try themselves in the role of an artist.

“Once I wanted to become an actress, but it didn’t work out. Over the years, I realized that a dream can be realized by playing on the stage of an amateur theater, and I proposed such an idea on the project. I believe that there are a huge number of people who, as a hobby, would like to try their hand at the stage, ”says Alina Martynova.

The idea of creating an amateur theater has already been implemented in several cultural centers of the capital. A resident of Golyanova is sure that in the future her own cultural center will open in her area, where there will also be an amateur theater for everyone.
