Instructor-methodical training sessions with servicemen of engineer-sapper units of the 201st military base of the Russian Federation were held in Tajikistan. The events were held under the guidance of the head of the engineering service of the unit in preparation for the winter training period.

In theoretical classes, the military personnel consolidated the tactical and technical characteristics of modern mine detectors, the composition and nature of various explosives, the algorithm of actions for the search, detection and elimination of explosive objects. In practice, specialists have worked out the skills of detecting, neutralizing and destroying explosive devices of various types. In addition, the tasks of demining training minefields, eliminating explosive barriers, as well as other engineering obstacles were worked out. The training sessions with servicemen were held as part of engineering teams and departments using modern mine detectors IMP-2, protective suits OVR-2 “Sokol”, at specially equipped training sites and engineering field.

In total, about 80 servicemen from the military towns of Dushanbe and Bokhtar were involved in the training.

The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is Russia’s largest military facility outside its borders. It is located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. It includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RChBZ and communications.
