In the Tver Military Academy of Aerospace Defense named after V.I. G.K. Zhukov held an open door day as part of the patriotic education of youth and on the eve of the 125th anniversary of Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov.

As part of the events, an exhibition of the achievements of the cadets of the Military Academy and a festive concert, with performances by the academy collectives, was organized. An educational video was also shown, which described in detail about the faculties of the academy, the educational and material base and living conditions of the university.

After that, an excursion to the main educational and leisure places of the academy was organized for the applicants and their parents, during which they talked with the command of the academy, the teaching staff and cadets. The guests visually looked at the educational buildings, departments and auditoriums, the material and technical base, sports facilities, the museum and the living conditions of the cadets.

Cadets are recruited annually in 13 military engineering specialties for the aerospace forces.

More than 200 guests attended the Academy on the Open Day.

The history of the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov dates back to November 24, 1956

By the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated September 24, 1974, the Academy was named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov.

During the existence of the academy, representatives of 39 countries of the near and far abroad studied and continue to study there.

In 2017, the academy celebrated its sixtieth anniversary.
