MIL OSI Translation. Region: Russian Federation –

Due to the difficult epidemic situation in a number of regions of North-West Russia, aviation units of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District continue to provide assistance in providing patients with liquid oxygen to civilian hospitals.

In the Smolensk region, servicemen of a separate reconnaissance aviation squadron donated more than 2 tons of medical liquefied oxygen for the needs of civilian hospitals.

Assistance to the regions is provided at the direction of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation after appeals from a number of heads of regions.

The airfields of the association are equipped with oxygen-producing stations DKDS-70 and TKDS-100, designed to obtain liquid and gaseous oxygen of medical quality in the field. Oxygen is used in the aircraft onboard systems designed to ensure the normal life of the crew, including during high-altitude flights and ejection.

The Western Military District has already transferred over 60 tons of oxygen to regional and regional hospitals.
