On the eve of the celebration of the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, the Hero of the Russian Federation, reserve colonel Timoshenko Andrey Stanislavovich, came to visit the pupils of the Omsk military cadet corps.

During his visit to the cadet corps, an excursion was organized for him around the territory, where he was introduced to the life and life of the inmates. He looked at how the cadets live, visited the classrooms, the library, the museum and the sports complex of the corps. Andrey Timoshenko highly appreciated the unique interactive airborne training complex.

Further, in the assembly hall of the corps, a meeting was held with the cadets, at which Andrei Timoshenko spoke about how he entered the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School, about his service in the Airborne Forces, as well as about service in the North Caucasus, where special assignment was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Andrey Tymoshenko paid special attention to the topic of friendship and camaraderie in the cadet team. At the end of the conversation, he answered numerous questions from the children.

At the end of the event, the pupils watched the documentary film “Heroes of the Country”, which showed the most unusual feats of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Over the years of heroic opposition to fascism, a considerable number of unique feats have been accomplished. Examples include capturing a tank without weapons, capturing enemy units with only an ax, defeating superior forces in hand-to-hand combat, and successful attacks by wounded soldiers.

At the end of the meeting, Hero of the Russian Federation Andrei Timoshenko was photographed for memory with the 5th grade cadets.
